So, who am I?

Hi there, I'm Kate, the owner and photographer of “Honeybees Newborn Photography". A newborn, baby and family photography business based in York, North Yorkshire.

My love for photography started when I was still at school. Taking photos of everything I could, with all I had at the time. Yes, back then meant changing a film in a camera and even developing my own photos in a dark room. Things have come on a long way since those days. I pursued my passion ever since, while continuing with a very mundane ordinary career.

After my wonderful son Harry arrived I knew it was time for me to follow my heart. After all he finally showed me what that was all about. So, I already had the skills, and now a perfect subject to harness them on, in a new area of photography.

Thanks to him, I now have my own studio and Photography is my full-time profession, with my biggest passion being in Newborn and Child Photography!

I run sessions that are relaxed and entirely baby-led. Allowing for baby feeding, changing, fussing and sleepy time. It's extremely important to me that my clients feel secure, confident and comfortable with my abilities to photograph their families. However, while I specialise in Newborn Photography, I welcome all types of memories capture, that you may want to keep forever.

Client relationships are so important to me -- when you're entrusting me with your most precious memories and family moments, I treat them as my own.
